This hike can begin at the Ancaster Old Mill Inn bus parking lot, or, if you prefer, Tiffany Falls Conservation Area. If beginning at the restaurant parking lot, set out on the Heritage Trail until it joins the Bruce Trail. Turn right and hike through beautiful forests, valleys, rock outcrops and a series of waterfalls. You can return on Old Dundas Road after seeing Sherman Falls or continue on to Tiffany Falls. When heading back, take time to view Mill Falls and Lower Mill Falls while enjoying a refreshment at the Ancaster Old Mill Inn.
Sherman Falls is a 17 metre high ribbon waterfall that is visible year round. Named after the Sherman family, former landowner and 1912 founder of the Dominion Foundry and Steel Company (DOFASCO). Travel on to Tiffany Falls. Bring your camera. Enjoy the lookout below Tiffany Falls in a scenic and peaceful setting. Thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club and Ancaster Rotary Club volunteers for their help in building the wonderful new trails and bridges.
Wilson Mill was one of four flour mills operating on Ancaster Creek around 1863 until it was transformed into a beautiful restaurant with meeting rooms.
